On May 13, 1985, one of the most shameful, horrific attacks by US police ever took place in West Philadelphia. 11 people, including five children, were killed in a deliberate massacre.
A racist and political attack on a radical community group known as the MOVE Organization, city and police officials were revealed to have intentionally set their home ablaze, let the fire rage, and violently kept escaping men, women and children trapped inside.

Hi, two of the women just had birthdays , I sent them birthday cards. And I was thinking about how young I was when this all happened and how everyone was saying it was an example of how insane the Philadelphia police were and then it just dropped off the map. All of the living incarcerated members have their birthdays and addresses on the anarchist black cross NYC website PDF of American political prisoners if anyone wants to send a postcard , it’s visually very boring in prison so I’ve heard they appreciate images of natural surroundings .
